Since yesterday afternoon I've been listening to a 2 set Abraham Hicks audio CD. The 2 CDs are focused on weight loss. According to AH - moving downstream is 'going with the flow' whereas going upstream is equivalent to going against the current, or in other words RESISTING.
According to AH we cannot get in to vibrational harmony enough to manifest new stuff in our lives when we are in a constant state of RESISTANCE. I finally understand that resistance never comes from outside of ourselves; it comes from within.
There is an example of a woman who has wanted to loose weight but always felt she was starving herself and not eatingthe foods she desired. Applying the principles behind LOA (law of attraction) she realized she had to feel good about herself as she is and to love her body - and she did. She starting eating all the forbidden foods whenever she wanted. To her amazement she began to gain weight. AH explored with her the reason and it came down to the fact that she had guilt about her manner of eating whatever and whenever she wanted. Because she did not have the BELIEF SYSTEM to support her habits. The guilt kept her in a constant state of expectation that she gain weight.
So the rule here to learn is that if you expect something to change to your liking you have to feel good about your choices. Woman 'A' might feel she does not have to ever work out to get a toned physique. Whereas, woman 'B' feels in her mind that she can only get fit working out 7 days a week. Both are correct in their beliefs - it's all very personal. If Woman A does not work out and is OK with that (truly ok) then she is setting herself downstream and floating to her goal of being fit. If the woman in the second case doesn't work out and feels guilty about it, she will likely not obtain her goal to be fit because she is not in harmony or in vibration with her own thoughts and beliefs.
No matter what you want to manifest, make choices and take actions that align with your own beliefs, values, and expectations.

Ladder of Emotions - Living with Carefree Abandon
I attended an Abraham-Hicks seminar yesterday. It was my first. I attended because I, as well as so many others, are working on manifesting things in our lives.
I came away with one primary new perspective --- that you need to be in a current state of content, happiness, appreciation, hopefulness, happiness, and joyfulness in order to manifest. A-H speaks to a 'ladder of emotion' and basically joy is at the top of the list of emotions.
In order to create more good stuff and move downstream towards what you truly want to manifest is easy = but because we humans are always in a mindset of LACK we get more of the same.
I came to the conclusion today that living a LIFE OF CAREFREE ABANDON is, at least for me, a way into the right vibratory state of creation and manifestation.
Some years ago I decided to move to Florida. I did this overnight literally. I was spurred to that decision because I wanted to end my commutes during snow storms in Chicago. Might be strange - but nontheless true. So I woke the next morning and told my landlord I was not going to resign my apratment lease in the Fall. I went into work and told my manager I would be leaving the company (after 15 years) at the end of September. This was on 2/15 /1990.
From that point on I worked towards making that move happen. I never looked back. At the same time, I decided to loose weight - the weight came off like magic ... 15 poinds the first week. Every thing worked out as I wanted and I never felt scared or freightened or alone.
I realized today that all that happended because I was in a state of CAREFREE ABANDON for months. Every time someone tried to pooh- pooh my plan I laughed. I did not look for a new job - I trusted I would get one. Everything moved according to plan and I made my move.
For two years afterwards I got more fit, thinner, healthier, gained friends, volunteered, walked every day. I loved being in Florida. And then I got a call from my ex-employer saying the company had restructured and they wanted me to come back in a new role. I again was looking for a new adventure -- and although there were indicators that I ignored I moved back. Within 2 weeks I gained a dress size - a year later I was 2 dress sizes bigger. I was stressed out and not too happy.
And then something happened... My job was gone - it went to Salt Lake City and I got a severance. So I decided to buy a condo, go back to school and get into consulting. Again, I took off weight and got healthy and felt so renewed that I was getting more education. Within a year I doubled my salary and was living a very carefree life.
So today I am wondering what's next. I again desire to loose weight, get fit, make more money and grow my independent business to include working with spiritual gurus like Wayne Dyer and other to create transformational seminars for people like me and you.
I just need something to focus on - to create - to bring new life to myself. I believe that by living with carefree abandon I resonate at the highest level and bring to me everything that I want.

Finding your center of focus and manifestation
So, manifestation begins with a thought. The thought becomes larger as you focus and visualize it - the idea takes life and becomes a picture in your mind's eye. Keep the focus of your thought long enough and you create a vibration that set's the Law of Attraction in motion. Focus and viaualization together are key. A brain thought alone won't put LOA into motion.
Here is a technique....
1. Sit quietly.
2. Take a a deep breath - allowing your belly to expand.
3. Release the breath and in so doing, allow your weight to fall below your belt and weigh you down a bit - this is very grounding. You want to be grounded to establish PTC - present time consciousness.
4. Now sit taller ... your spine rising as if someone is pulling the top of your head like a rubber band is attached.
5. Now thrust your chest out just a bit to open your heart center. You will feel pleasant - you'll feel your heart chakra open.
6. Think a loving thought - one of appreciation and which makes you feel well, balanced and centered.
7. Using your third eye / ajna chakra (between your eyes) -- breath inward, pulling your point of focus inward into your brain behind your eyes. This is your pineal gland which is used in visualization.
8. Stay grounded and focused. NOW VISUALIZE YOUR DESIRE. Think about how you will feel when you achieve this vision. Feel it, sense it, touch it, taste it, smell it, color it the appropiate color, make it's shape develop... and if you can't visualize then think the words that would be used to describe the feel, shape, touch, smell, color, etc.
9. Continue this exercise for at least 5 minutes. Then when you are done, thank your self. See yourself in a circle in your mind's eye and send thoughts of love and appreciation to yourself.
Let me know what happens!
Namaste,
Cyn

Getting Out and Meeting Like-Minded Folks
I have come to love the MEETUP.COM venue. Ever been there? If not, take a moment to check out the site. You can find a meetup group for everything under the sun - or just about.I found Meetup in the summer of 2007 when I had gone independent -- and was working solo from home. I found myself needing to connect with people. See, I am single and live with my three cats. So the days could get very long and I felt deprived of physical interactions with others. So, I decided to look for a walking partner and went to Google to search ... what I found was a universe of options. Within a week I joined several groups and was going to dinner and walking and hiking. YES -- it WAS a little strange at the onset but now it feels like 'perfect'. It's nice to meet people who just want to be friendly and explore and get to know each other.Stop by Meetup.com and while you are at it, take a look at my site: http://reflexology.meetup.com/37/.Peace,cyn

Numerology ... A new perspective
I had the fortunate opportunity to attend a free workshop at the Leidecker Institute in Elgin this past Tuesday, May 6th. The topic was Numerology.
Now as Mind, Body, Spirit practitioner, I am open to may forms of vibrational energy
and sometimes utilize oracles and other forms of divination such as astrology. However, numerology never really 'resonated' with me very much -- that is until 2 days ago.
The speaker was Phillip Clark and he gave a beautiful account explaining how he became an expert in numerology. He explained the energy behind numbers and talked at length about the symbology of the numbers 1-9.
I was so compelled with his explanation that I spent several hours yesterday looking for different books on the subject. Whereas before all I wanted was to have a program calculate my numbers, I now would prefer to spend some time understanding the composition and vibrational influence of each number.
For me, it was quite a leap in belief to go from a non-believer to a believer in 2 hours or less. I mean I get vibration, I get archetypes and I understand symbolism. I had just never encountered anyone who could explain all the reasoning and logic behind numerology the way Mr. Clark did. Now if he could explain football to me I might really feel complete.
Peace
